PARKing Day is an annual worldwide event where artists, designers and citizens transform metered parking spots into temporary public ‘parks’.  

PARK(ing) Day Wellington is organised by the Wellington Sculpture Trust in association with Wellington City Council. 

During 2016, Angela Kilford and Aliyah Winter occupied the parking space by weaving and talking to people passing by about the whakapapa (geneaolgy) of the local ecology.
